1. Evaluating Nutrient Uptake and Partitioning for Hybrid Carrot Seed Production in Central Oregon

Hybrid carrot seed production is prominent in Central Oregon, however plant nutrient uptake dynamics in this crop are not well understood. Many chile (Capsicum annuum) growers apply boron (B) without knowing if B is actually needed. The application of B has been suggested to improve specific conditions that limit chile productivity such as alleviating blossom-end rot.
